This Internet Provider Is Scamming RV'ers!
This internet provider is scamming rv'ers and it may not be who you think! When we first started our RV Life, we were using an internet service called OTR Mobile. For the first 4 months on the road, they were great! They offered unlimited, unthrottled internet access using the AT&T towers. However, they lost their contract with AT&T and could not work out anything with anyone else. They essentially vanished. To even get through to customer service for OTR required a MINIMUM of 3-4 hours of wait time and they would not take phone calls. You were required to reach them through their chat. So, we left OTR and found ourselves having to rely on the minimal, throttled internet that Sprint provided.
As we said in a past video, "Is This The Perfect Mobile Internet?", we have settled on T-Mobile Home Internet and have had a wonderful experience with them. However, before we found T-Mobile, we considered another small, new company for our RV Life internet needs, "Nomad Internet".
To say that we are happy that we didn't go with Nomad would be the understatement of the decade! Nomad's ownership and CEO is currently under investigation for fraud and has stepped down. His stepping down, however, has not alleviated the issue with Nomad because his wife has taken over the position!
We have seen MANY full-time RV'ers that have not been able to contact their customer service and are not receiving the service they're paying for.
Bottom line? DO NOT sign up with Nomad Internet because, unlike OTR, which is still in business and offering internet options, Nomad has apparently done a vanishing act on its customers.
