RV Trip Takes Unexpected Turn: New Truck, Check Engine Light, and Transmission Trouble!

The video follows Felix and Cindy, a couple who travel full-time in their RV. They recently purchased a new truck to tow their RV but encountered some problems right away.

Their journey involved taking the truck to Tucson for emissions testing and Felix to get a feel for driving it for extended periods. Before they left, Cindy had dental work done, and Cindy needed a partial plate fitted.

On the way to Tucson, they made a gas station stop. Upon restarting the truck after filling up, the check engine light turned on. They continued driving and got the code checked at an AutoZone. The mechanic informed them it was a transmission communication error, a common issue with these trucks, and reset the code.

Despite the initial hiccup, they passed the emissions test. Unfortunately, the check engine light reappeared as they were leaving the facility.

Upon reaching their Tucson hotel, Felix parked the truck, and it unexpectedly switched into manual shifting in fourth gear. Restarting the truck didn't resolve the issue, leading them to believe the transmission was broken.

Felix contacted Larry Green Chevrolet, the dealership where he bought the truck, and explained the situation. The dealership impressed them with their exceptional customer service. They sent a tow truck all the way to Tucson to pick up the truck and provided them with a loaner car to drive back.

Felix and Cindy were incredibly grateful for the amazing customer service they received from Larry Green Chevrolet. They recommend getting your tow vehicle checked before a trip, especially if it hasn't been used for towing in a while. The video concludes with some helpful tips for both novice and experienced RVers.
